The idea behind exporto was not born in a business plan, but out of genuine curiosity – somewhere between a sales office at BMW and the border between Germany and Switzerland. Julius wanted to know: Can more be done? Can cross‑border e‑commerce be made simpler and more efficient? So he tested the model – without know-how, without a strategy paper, but with the clear aim of gaining experience and building something of his own.

What started out as a test fast became serious – not just for him, but also for a growing number of e‑commerce companies that continue to benefit from exporto’s solution today. Today, exporto is a fast-growing company that is rethinking European e‑commerce – not just as any random service provider, but as a reliable and forward-looking partner in the day-to-day business of Germany’s largest online retailers.

As CEO, Julius keeps an eye on the big picture, drives speed and makes decisions – always with the aim of connecting humanity and clarity. For him, courage and intuition are just as much a part of entrepreneurial reality as data and processes. Innovation means radically questioning the status quo – including his own.

Julius is convinced that the best ideas are not born in a quiet room, but in a real exchange. That’s why he regularly visits customers and partners on site to listen, gather feedback and bring new ideas to the team.

His style is direct, transparent and empathetic. He creates spaces in which people can surpass themselves – regardless of titles or hierarchies.

Why exporto?

Because the mission is far from complete. Julius’ vision is for exporto to be automatically included in every expansion decision made by a European e‑commerce company – not as an option, but as a logical consequence.

Julius went to seven different schools – perhaps this explains his urge to constantly explore new, unconventional paths. Even if they feel like detours at first.

Before joining exporto in February 2025, Linda had already built a diverse professional background. She spent three years in logistics at FedEx, working across parcel delivery and field sales, gained experience in mid-sized companies, and later helped build a software startup from day one, contributing across strategy, sales, and marketing.

This combination of logistics expertise and startup pragmatism forms the foundation of her role as Chief of Staff today.

A common thread throughout Linda's career has been challenging existing structures and building new ones where needed. She enjoys bringing clarity to complexity and creating processes that help teams move faster and work more effectively.

At exporto, she acts as a scaling partner to the management team. She removes roadblocks, connects teams, and builds the foundations across data, tools, and communication that enable sustainable growth without unnecessary complexity or silos.

In short, Linda ensures that strategy doesn't stay on slides but becomes part of everyday execution.

Her approach to decision-making is structured and data-driven, while always keeping execution and momentum in mind. As a leader, she believes that transparency creates alignment. When people understand the "why", motivation follows naturally.

She values direct communication, mutual respect, and honest feedback. For Linda, the best teams are the ones that address challenges openly, learn quickly, and keep moving forward. Standing still because of fear of mistakes is far worse than making a mistake and learning from it.

"Because we're solving a real problem. Cross-border commerce is still far more complex than it should be, and exporto helps remove those barriers. We're at a stage where every team member can make a visible impact. My goal is to ensure that our organisation is connected so well that scaling feels like progress, not additional complexity."

Whether she's hiking in the mountains or working on business operations, Linda always needs a destination and a great view. If she's not helping operationalise exporto's strategy, you'll probably find her on a summit, already planning the next route.

Markus has held various roles in product and project management, helping start-ups and scale-ups to develop customer-centric products while building professional, sustainable organisational structures. His focus is always on the interplay between strategy, user needs and sustainable scaling.

At exporto, it is particularly important to him that the team works towards its goals with joy, clarity and a common focus. A clear vision, mission and strategy are the compass for him – at the same time, he ensures that these can be translated into concrete, measurable initiatives. He sees success not in gut feeling, but in clearly defined KPIs.

As a manager, Markus sees himself as a coach and servant leader: It creates the space for courageous decisions, promotes self-organisation and responsibility and encourages an open, honest exchange. Agile principles characterise his work – without sticking to rigid methods.

For seven years, Alexander worked in various management roles at Amazon – in several countries and always with a focus on new products and large-scale rollouts. Whether new fulfilment centres in Eastern Europe, ultra-fast delivery or food logistics: The development and scaling of innovative services was part of his daily business.

After his time in a corporate environment, he deliberately opted for a more agile working environment in order to shape things from scratch – with more freedom, direct impact and a clear focus on sustainable growth. He therefore switched directly from the customer side to exporto – convinced by the mission, the mentality and the clear hands-on culture.

In his role, it is particularly important to him to establish strong processes – and to think them through continuously. For him, one thing is certain: Scaling is only possible with clear structures and a strong team. He therefore relies on an environment that promotes talent, enables responsibility and actively supports development.

His management style is based on trust, ownership and genuine team spirit – because this is the only way to create high-impact teams.

Lars has been at home in logistics for over 20 years – he started out with a traditional apprenticeship as a freight forwarding and logistics services specialist. This was followed by positions at DHL for Ford of Europe, part-time studies and a move to Birkenstock, where he worked as Planning Manager Logistics and Manager External Warehouses Germany. He deepened his intercultural experience in Switzerland before heading up an entire business unit at the Shoepassion Group in Berlin – and pursuing his passion for shoes.

Lars first came to exporto via Shoepassion as a customer – and later joined the team because he was impressed by the product, the mission and the energy. Today, he contributes his extensive know-how in the areas of transportation and operational processes to exporto.

It is particularly important to him to develop each member of his team, to find pragmatic solutions and to keep learning himself. His management style is clear and authoritative: Agreements stand, responsibility is taken – by him as well as by his team.

“I got to know exporto as a customer – and then really wanted to become part of it. Now it’s me.”

For over ten years, Yunus has been actively shaping the customer journey in digital companies – always with the aim of making processes simpler, more efficient and more customer-oriented. Before joining exporto, he worked in partner management at HolidayCheck, but joined the team shortly after exporto was founded and helped build the Operations & Customer Care Department from the ground up.

In his position, Yunus relies on clear communication, effective decisions and cooperation at eye level – often with a twinkle in his eye, but always with a clear goal in mind.

As a manager, he creates space for personal responsibility, encourages active participation and sometimes asks the uncomfortable questions to challenge the status quo. Trust, appreciation and common sense characterise his style – and: A bit of humour is simply part of it for him.

Julian has built his career at the intersection of numbers, strategy, and innovation. At CodeCamp:N, as a finance all-rounder in a modern New Work environment, he not only accompanied the financial processes, but also took a look behind the scenes of a corporate group. During this time, he has grown into the role of an open, direct sparring partner for the business – always with the aim of not only delivering figures, but also making them understandable.

He started at exporto as a controller and gradually developed into Head of Finance. Today, in addition to financial and business controlling, he is also responsible for liquidity management, financing and the entire data field. The data-driven view of the business plays a central role right from the start: For Julian, it is clear that strong financial management requires solid data and analytical perspectives as a basis for sound decisions and sustainable development.

The challenge of reconciling ambitious growth and profitability is particularly appealing to him. What motivates him at exporto is precisely this combination of clarity, personal responsibility and real impact. For him, leadership means working together as equals – openly, honestly, transparently and with a good dose of humour.

Alexander brings over 20 years of experience in leading interdisciplinary and globally distributed tech teams. Whether in e‑commerce, EdTech or logistics: His talent lies in modernising complex platforms, building scalable cloud architectures and combining technical excellence with clear business objectives. His approach is always results-oriented: Release cycles every minute, uptime targets of 99.9% and noticeable cost reductions are standard for him.

Alexander attaches particular importance to creating structures before growth forces them. For him, development, security and operations are inextricably linked. : Despite his affinity for numbers and data, people are his main focus. Because he is convinced: When teams take responsibility, the technology follows on its own.

This is exactly what drives him at exporto – to work with a motivated and alert team on a meaningful product and to grow together. His management style? Enablers rather than drivers. Preferably at eye level and with the aspiration to always set a good example.
